philosophy
In my necks I use twin graphite rails on either side of my two way adjustable truss rod. The rails add stability as well as greater rigidity to the neck, making it a better energy transmitter. I use custom 25 5/16" scale with compensated fret positions, this compensated scale together with a fully compensated saddle improves intonation up and down the neck. I use wood bindings and purflings, no plastic or celluloid as they tend to decompose and shrink away from the instrument in time. The nut and saddle are bone as well as the bridge pins. There is an audible difference between bone pins and plastic or even wood pins. The bone pins make the string sound clearer and brighter and sound is what its all about isn't it? Finally my guitars are finished with nitro-cellulose lacquer and supplied with a hardshell case. Although I have standard models, I encourage direct interaction with my clients, specific needs such as finger board width, Neck shape, string spread or scale length can easily be met, we can also discuss custom ideas and projects. |
